Vegan for the Animals!
It all started at a natural products fair (Naturaltech) where my husband (and business partner) and I were showcasing the supplement line of our brand, WVegan. We had only a few items at the time, but many vegans liked our products and visited our stand. In conversations, I would ask, “How do you manage it?”, “What do you eat?”—typical questions from a curious person.

When the event ended, I decided to stop consuming anything of animal origin. I cut everything out overnight! I thought, I’ll give it a try!!!! I decided to watch documentaries on Netflix about the impact of consuming animal products on health and the environment. Then I remembered a movie called Earthlings that a vegan friend had once suggested I watch. It took me just 8 minutes to realize that I didn’t need meat, eggs, milk, or their derivatives to satisfy my hunger. And yes, it was for the animals that I decided to become vegan.

Having been an industrial pharmacist for years, with technical know-how and an industry with the necessary technology at our disposal, we identified that we could make a difference for thousands of people. For me, WVegan solidified at that moment. We began to identify the needs and challenges of being vegan. After extensive studies, research, and development of packaging suppliers and raw materials, we now offer the most comprehensive line of supplements for vegans, vegetarians, those intolerant and allergic to gluten and lactose, and for those who want to consume sustainable products that contribute to health and well-being, protect the environment, and respect the lives of those who have no voice—the animals.

It all started with a great internal conflict.
The company we created sold (and still sells) vegan products, yet I was using animal-based products. As I became more immersed in this world, I began to understand the philosophy of veganism, and it deeply impacted me. I thought, “The company generates profits, I take a share of those profits and then go to the butcher shop to buy meat. There’s something wrong with this, because the people who buy our products don’t want animals to suffer, yet I’m contributing to that suffering.” So, I outlined two paths, and I had to choose only one: either close the company or stop consuming animal-based products. Only in this way could I sleep peacefully every night. I chose to stop consuming products that cause animal suffering. Today, I feel very happy with my decision and am grateful every day for choosing this path. Veganism is the future of the planet and undoubtedly means less pain for those who cannot speak, scream, or defend themselves—they can only accept.
